Eyeliner: Sharp or Smudgy?

I want your no-holds-barred, preliminary gut reaction, homie.

(In other words, don’t overthink it!)

I like sharp liner, for sure. Doesn’t matter if we’re speaking about small tabby kitten flicks or winged liner of pegasus-ian proportions; sharp, crisp liner lines contact us to my soul.

Perhaps there’s a Goddess of Eyeliner, as well as she has my number on speed dial, as well as she keeps calling as well as leaving me mind manage messages like, “You like exact lines, Karen… You cannot assist yourself…”

Or, perhaps I just respond viscerally to that type of makeup.

Probably the latter, although I wouldn’t mind taking a phone call from the Goddess of eyeliner every when in a while… That might be fun.

Ironically, I don’t really do sharp liner lines all that commonly since they normally tack on one more 10-15 minutes that I don’t commonly feel I have.

Yes, often sharp liner truly takes that long! — often even longer if something goes awry, as well as I end up having to do damage control. Sharp liner takes no prisoners, yo! as well as it’s so unforgiving that even if it’s off by a couple millimeters, you can tell.

So, yeah, even though I’m like DAT WINGED liner DOE, I still normally wear smudgy liner on a daily basis since it’s much easier to hide my application mistakes.

It’s sooo much much easier to swiftly draw a less-than-perfect line along my lash lines, then go to town smudging it out with a pencil clean (usually one packed with a shift color to produce smoother gradients), then be made with the whole service in less time than it takes to toast a Frosted Strawberry Pop Tart…

But sufficient about the wonderful breakfast treats I miss oh, so extremely much, wah! What are your thoughts on sharp vs. smudgy eyeliner? Do you have a preference, as well as which do you wear more? Inquiring eyeliner-loving minds want to know.
